What is the process for attesting Matriculation (SSC) and Intermediate (HSSC) certificates?
  • Apply to the issuing board for verification. Make a printout of the online verification available for boards connected with the IBCC Attestation Portal, or obtain the verification in sealed envelopes from the concerned boards.
  • Apply online for attestation of documents and complete the online application form for attestation.
  • Choose any of three available modes for submission of attestation.

What is the processing time for attestation of educational documents by IBCC?
  1.   The attested documents are returned on the same day of appointment if submitted in first half of the day. The documents submitted in second half of the day are returned on next day in first half.
  2. The applications received through courier are processed wihin 15 working days and attested documents are returned via courier to the address given on application form.
  3. In Express Services, documents are processed and returned within an hour after submission.
Does IBCC attest school leaving certificate?

Yes, IBCC attests school leaving certificate.

What are the requirements and process for attesting a school leaving certificate?
  1. Apply online using the link (attest.ibcc.edu.pk) and choose any of the three available methods. (appointment, courier, express)

Does IBCC attest documents issued by private institutions?

No, the IBCC does not attest documents from private educational institutions. The IBCC only attests certificates issued by recognized BISEs, BTEs, Wafaq, Tanzeem within Pakistan.

Does IBCC seal documents for foreign evaluation agencies?

Yes, IBCC seals the attested photocopies of certificates/marks sheets for foreign evaluation agencies such as WES, ICAS, etc., upon the request of the applicant. The IBCC-attested documents are sealed and handed over to the applicant for onward submission to the relevant agency. This service is available upon request, and a nominal fee is charged for the sealed envelope service.

No, The IBCC only attests certificates issued by recognized BISEs, BTEs, Wafaq, Tanzeem within Pakistan and does not attest non-academic qualifications. Only educational certificates, diplomas, and similar academic documents up to the higher secondary level are attested by IBCC.

How do I get a duplicate certificate attested if my original document is lost?

For attestation of a duplicate certificate, you will be required to obtain a duplicate certificate from the relevant board and verification of the duplicate certificate. Then you can apply for IBCC attestation following the standard procedure.

Does IBCC attest to the lost Diploma/Certificate already attested by IBCC?

If you have lost your diploma/certificate attested from IBCC, you will be required to obtain a duplicate certificate from the relevant board and verification of the duplicate certificate. Then you can apply for IBCC attestation following the standard procedure.

Does IBCC provide attestation services for foreign educational qualifications?

Yes, IBCC Pakistan provides attestation services for foreign educational qualifications provided these qualifications are equivalent to SSC and HSSC. The applicant must provide a copy of the equivalence certificate for attestation of foreign educational qualifications. This step has been initiated for individuals having international qualifications seeking further studies or employment within Pakistan as attested documents are often required by institutions and employers to confirm the validity of foreign qualifications.

Can I cancel my attestation request after submission?

Once your attestation request is submitted, you cannot directly cancel it online. However, you may contact IBCC’s helpline for assistance or visit the office in person to discuss any special considerations.

How can I schedule an appointment for an attestation at IBCC?

To schedule an attestation appointment, register and log into the IBCC’s online portal. After completing the necessary forms and payment, you can choose an available date and time slot to visit and submit the application at the office.

What steps should be taken for attestation of the equivalence certificate on the portal?

To fill out the form for attestation of Equivalence Certificates issued by IBCC, follow these steps:

  1. Apply online using the link (attest.ibcc.edu.pk) and choose any of the three available methods. (appointment, courier, express)
  • Add your details and information.
  • Select the relevant qualification (i.e., SSC/HSSC).

What is the process of attestation of a revised Diploma/Transcript?

If you have revised your IBCC attested certificate/marks sheet, you will be required to obtain a Revised Certificate from the relevant board and verification of the Revised Certificate. Then you can apply for IBCC attestation following the standard procedure.

Does IBCC attest Bachelor/Master or higher degrees?

No, IBCC does not attest Bachelor/Master or higher degrees. Higher Education Commission (HEC) is authorized to attest the higher degrees in Pakistan.

Does IBCC attest laminated certificates/diplomas/transcripts?

No, the applicants are advised to remove lamination from the certificates/diploma/transcripts before submitting their attestation.

Does IBCC attest transcripts/result cards/marks sheets for grades 9th and grade 11th?

Yes, transcripts/result cards/marks sheets for grade 9th and grade 11th signed by the Controller of Exams of the respective Board do get attested.

Is it necessary for the applicant to come in person for attestation?

No, the diploma/certificate holder doesn’t need to come in person. He/she can get the diploma/certificate attested through his/her authorized person (blood relatives only) or through approved courier services of Pakistan. The authorized (blood relative) must have documents to prove relation.

Does IBCC attest certificates/Diplomas of foreign qualifications?

Yes, IBCC attests certificates and Diplomas of foreign qualifications provided these qualifications are equivalent to SSC and HSSC of Pakistan. The applicant must provide a copy of the equivalence certificate for attestation of foreign educational qualifications.

What should I do if my attested documents are rejected by an embassy or foreign institution?

If the cause of rejection appears to be the authenticity of attestation then one must personally visit the IBCC office for post-attestation revision/correction along with all original documents and CNIC or seek guidance by calling IBCC’s UAN (051 111 114 222).

The embassy is asking for re-verification of already attested certificates. What should I do?

IBCC online attestation has QR codes for a lifetime and can be verified by scanning QR or verification link given on the website of IBCC. There is no need for re-verification. However, if the certificates were attested before the online system without QR, IBCC re-attests certificates on submission of the prescribed fee and is subject to fulfillment of requirements.

Does IBCC need SSC certificate to attest HSSC certificate?
