Rules for Examination

An important function of IBCC is determining the equivalence of Foreign and Indigenous qualifications up to the Higher Secondary School level. The evaluation of equivalence for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) involves various factors, including curriculum content, assessment criteria, and instructional standards.
Sometimes deficiencies are identified while determining equivalence and the students are advised to complete certain subjects within their system of study OR from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) of Pakistan.

The IBCC recognizes the challenges candidates face when dealing with delayed examination schedules for deficient subjects. Traditionally, the limited frequency of exams across Pakistan created unnecessary barriers. To address these challenges, the IBCC has introduced a streamlined approach to ensure timely examinations and result processing. The initiative is supported by the Clause 3(3)(b) of the IBCC Act 2023:

“To authenticate equivalence, attestation, and verification of certificates up to higher secondary levels and equivalent, issued by local or foreign authorized institutions. IBCC evaluates deficient subjects, papers, and qualifications to issue equivalency and facilitate admissions, scholarships, and other academic pursuits.”
